Mother’s Day dining options abound

What better way to thank mom for all she does than to take her out to a nice meal on Mother’s Day? Choices abound, but let’s consider a few.

Vintana hosts a 3-course menu with champagne from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 8. It costs $59.95 for adults, $12.95 for kids under age 12.

Chef Deborah Scott — you know her, you love her — has put together a very special menu featuring such Vintana favorites as Black Pepper Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon and the Everything Crusted Albacore Tuna.

Starters include Lobster Bisque, Shrimp cocktail, Caesar or Smoked Trout Salad. Other entrees include Angus Beef Prime Rib, Lemon Thyme Brick Chicken, Dungeness Crab Benedict and more. For dessert, try Brioche-Pecan Bread Pudding, Creme Bulee, Key Lime Tart and Brownie with banana ice cream.

Kids menu starts with fresh fruit, then moves on to Chicken Tenders, Mac n Cheese or Vintana Burger, topped off by an ice cream sundae dessert. Choices can be prepared Gluten-free.

Stone Brewing Company offers its Chef Specialty Menu from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mother’s Day. Mothers, and fellow family members, should enjoy some of Stone’s specialties such as Quail Knots. Housemade Kimchi and Brussel Sprouts for tastes. This is followed by entrees the likes of Duck Tacos, Shrimp & Grits, Coconut Green Curry Salmon, Peruvian-Style Chicken and Stone BBQ Beef, among a host of choices,

Want to take a walk on the wilder side? How about Mother’s Day Buffet at the Safari Park. Food and fun ensues at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. Sunday, May 8. separate seating occur at those times for a delicious spring brunch at Hunter Nairobi Pavilion.

Guests will be seated at their own reserved table according to their guest count. The special buffet costs $44.95 for adults, $18.95 for children; plus tax, gratuity and parking. Non-members add Safari Park admission to the tab.

Choices include Grilled Grass-Fed Hanger Steak, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Pasta Alla Vodka, Smoked Lox, Short Rib Benedict, Veggie skillet, salads, Sticky Sweet Gooey Monkey Brea Pull-A-Part, cookies, cupcakes, brownies and more. Little Chef’s Table features Mini Slider Burgers, Creamy Macaroni and Cheese, Southern-style Chicken Tenders and more.
