No taxation without representation, Hunter

Spoiler alert.

Rep, Duncan Hunter (R-50th Congressional District), like his President idol (for now) Donald Trump should do everyone a favor and resign.

Considering Hunter’s multiple transgressions, topped off by breaking the law by spending campaign finance $$$ for his, and his family’s, personal expenses, self-admitted by Hunter: The vape, on-the-take, Hunter managed to outdo himself last week.

Hunter VOTED FOR THE GOP TAX PLAN that gives 81 percent of benefits to the Republican donor class and President Trump, and RAISES TAXES ON HIS OWN CONSTITUENTS.

Full stop. No taxation without representation was the raison d’etre for the American Revolution. Hunter is our personal 50th Congressional District embodiment of mad King George’s reign. This fraud of a representative voted to increase our taxes, and does not deserve even one vote.

Hunter was so proud of his vote to increase taxes on the people who live in the district he inherited from dad, 27-year Congressman Duncan (Lee) Hunter, whom Citizens or Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW),a nonpartisan citizens’ watchdog group, listed as one of the most corrupt members of Congress in 2007.

“Rep. Hunter’s ethical issues stem from his connection to a number of people at the center of the largest military corruption scandal of the decade — connections that have been investigated by the FBI4 — and his earmarks for projects that benefit his defense industry political donors, but that the military does not want,” CREW said.

That was the case of Rancho Santa Fe Congressman Randy “Duke” Cunningham, who was convicted of bribery and described  Hunter as his “mentor”, as well as Hunter’s relationships with other key players in the Cunningham scandal.

Hunter, the younger, spent taxpayer dollars on his congressional website, saying Dec. 19 was “a historic day,” neglecting to mention historic because who ever has heard of a congressman voting specifically to raise taxes on the people he represents while lowering taxes on everyone else, including enormous tax breaks for the super-wealthy and connected corporations.

Hunter said one proposal discussed as part of an income tax overhaul in Congress would hit his constituents and other Californians hard in their wallets, but he still supports a Republican plan to change the federal tax system because he believes it will help citizens across the country.

“Why punish the rest of the nation because California is stupid?” Hunter, an Alpine Republican, said in an Oct. 27 interview with KUSI. “It’s a tough vote for me, but I’m not gonna keep the economy down for the whole country because California has bad government.”

“California, New Jersey, New York, and other states that have horrible governments, yes. It’s not as good for those states,” Hunter said.

One of the show’s hosts noted that Hunter represents California, but Hunter said that the entire country’s economy will improve, and the Golden State’s residents will see a boost as well.

HUNTER AND TRUMP, CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR

Trump doesn’t want to be president and 60 percent of the population as opposed to 30 percent who are morons, don’t want him.

Considering, Special Prosecutor Mueller is going to whack Tump, friends, and fellow travelers, eventually for their looting of America while selling America to Putin. It’s called kakistocracy. Look it up.

And criminality. That’s where we find ardent Trump enthusiast and political hack Hunter who self-admittedly looted his campaign treasury for personal expenses including expensive dinners, tourist travel, video games, coffee and cigar money, jewelry, and flying his pet bunny rabbit around.

And as an aside for pet lovers everywhere, Hunter later defended that poor ole’ bunny’s flight through paradise, saying somethng to the effect that it was his family’s pet, not his, and if he had it his way, he’d be serving it for supper.

An FBI warrant to search the offices of Hunter’s campaign treasurer, which came to light in August when most of his legal fees were incurred (see below), indicated agents were looking for evidence showing whether Hunter’s campaign funds were used for personal reasons, whether there was a scheme to defraud a bank over video game purchases, and whether Hunter’s campaign finance reports were falsified to “impede or influence” FBI and House Ethics Committee inquiries into his use of campaign funds.

Considering Hunter is under his own type of Mueller investigation, an official FBI investigation into breaking the law through private use of campaigns funds for personal expenses, it seems pretty near-fetched that Hunter may be going to the Federal Hilton, you know, prison.

Hunter’s wife, Margaret, who was paid for a long time as “campaign manager,” has been implicated in the use of campaign credit cards for personal expenses.

Also mentioned in conjunction with campaign spending has been 15-year Hunter Sr., and Hunter younger, aide Joe Kasper. He abruptly resigned as Hunter chief of staff in September to take a Trump-appointed job as assistant secretary of the Navy for research, development and acquisition.

Kasper served as Duncan Lee Hunter’s spokesman and legislation director before becoming Hunter, the younger’s, communications and policy operations director, then chief of staff in 2014.

INVESTIGATING HUNTER

Duncan Hunter with his wife Margaret, presumably swearing to something. Next stop: Federal Court.

According to a House Ethics Committee report released earlier this year along with the announcement of a Department of Justice investigation, Hunter “may have converted tens of thousands of dollars of campaign funds from his congressional campaign committee to personal use to pay for family travel, flights, utilities, healthcare, school uniforms and tuition, jewelry, groceries and other goods, services, and expenses.”

Hunter re-paid over $62,000 for some of his personal spending of campaign money related to items including flying the family rabbit on a plane and payments to nail salons, his children’s private school and a Phoenix resort.

Hunter also re-paid money related to thousands of dollars in improper payments by his campaign, including payments to utility companies, a dentist, a nail salon, grocery stores and clothing retailers such as Abercrombie & Fitch — as well as 32 payments to airlines, a hotel in Italy and the Arizona Grand Resort

Noah Bookbinder, executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, this spring put the Hunter criminal activity — alleged — into perspective.

Bookbinder called Hunter’s situation “the most egregious congressional spending scandal” since former Rep. Aaron Schock (R-Ill.) was indicted last fall for theft of government funds, fraud, making false statements and filing false tax returns, charges that stemmed from using House and campaign funds to support a lavish lifestyle. He has pleaded not guilty.

Former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) was sentenced to 30 months in prison in 2013 for spending $750,000 from his campaign on personal items.

According to Roll Call last month:

Republican party stalwarts such as Duncan Hunter Sr., left and his son, Rep. Duncan Hunter, middle, at the VIP entrance during a campaign rally for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump at the San Diego Convention Center on Friday, May 27, 2016. FBI agents searched the office of Hunter’s campaign treasurer in February. Embattled California Rep. Duncan Hunter spent more in the most recent fundraising quarter on legal fees than he raised.

According to Hunter’s October quarterly fundraising records filed with the Federal Election Commission, Hunter spent roughly $134,000 on legal fees.

Hunter raised about $91,440 in the third quarter, according to his FEC filing.

Rob Pyers, research director for the nonpartisan California Target Book, tweeted that more than 87 percent of Hunter’s campaign contributions this year have gone to legal fees. Hunter has raised roughly $409,000 this year  and spent more than $357,000 on legal fees.

Seen enough. Heard enough?

Enough. Do us a favor. Do yourself a favor since you’re going to have to di it anyway when the man comes to take you to court and prison. Do your family a favor and spare them from the massive dose of shame to follow.

You called your connsituents and the good people of California “stupid”; talk about projection. Actually California is the most progressive and successful state in the nation. It’s people are among the most diverse, best educated and most welcoming in the country.

Like your Trump moron mentor, you, Duncan Duane Hunter are an idiot.

And a crook.

RESIGN, HUNTER.

RESIGN. NOW!
