I’ve been critical of the Trump presidency and — truth be told — still exhausted from the experience.
But to be fair, President Trump wasn’t that bad.

The Greatest Hits of Governance
Incited an insurrection against the U.S. government.
Mismanaged a pandemic that killed nearly half a million Americans.
Separated children from their parents — and lost many of them in the bureaucracy.
Tear-gassed peaceful protesters on Lafayette Square for a Bible photo op.
Tried to block all Muslims from entering the country.
Got impeached. Twice.
Pressured Ukraine to dig up dirt on Joe Biden.
Fired the FBI director for investigating his Russia ties — and bragged about it on TV.
Took Vladimir Putin’s word over U.S. intelligence.
Diverted military funding to build his wall.
Caused the longest government shutdown in U.S. history.
Called Black Lives Matter a “symbol of hate.”
Lied — roughly 30,000 times.
Banned transgender Americans from serving in the military.
Refused to release his tax returns.
Added nearly $8 trillion to the national debt.
The Chaos Cabinet
Called fallen soldiers “losers” and “suckers.”
Coddled the Saudi crown prince after he had a journalist murdered.
Refused to concede the 2020 election.
Installed his daughter and son-in-law in senior White House jobs.
Called neo-Nazis “very fine people.”
Suggested injecting bleach to fight COVID.
Mocked masks during a pandemic.
Told the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by.”
Abandoned Kurdish allies to Turkey.
Pressured Georgia officials to “find” him votes.
Used the White House as a campaign prop.
Charged the Secret Service inflated rates at his own properties.
The Art of the Grift
Spent more time golfing than governing — after blasting Obama for golfing.
Gave Rush Limbaugh the Medal of Freedom.
Called Haiti and African nations “shithole countries.”
Tweeted so much disinformation that Twitter banned him.
Tried to nuke hurricanes.
Said wind turbines cause cancer.
Thought Frederick Douglass was still alive.
Believed Andrew Jackson could’ve stopped the Civil War — sixteen years after he died.
Demanded the Pentagon throw him a Soviet-style military parade.
Hugged flags like they were hostages.
Claimed he was treated worse than any president — including the ones who were assassinated.
Claimed “only he” could fix America, then broke most of it.
Mr. Womderful
So yes — to be fair, President Trump wasn’t that bad.
Unless you count the corruption. The cruelty. The chaos. The catastrophic incompetence.
In that case, maybe I don’t owe anyone an apology after all.
