‘Unknown Eatress’ visits CULTURE Craft Coffee & Espresso, The Wooden Spoon

Unknown Eaters gets a little CULTURE.

Coffee, Tea Or Me?

I’ve always enjoyed the quaint, cool, coffeehouse vibe. There is the star of coffee bucks just about everywhere to start or top off the day.

Da-da da-da ta-dah…

The Star has been trumped by CULTURE Craft Coffee & Espresso at The Centre, now along with Lexus and Vintana taking coffee to a whole new Level 2 from where you take the elevator to the showroom First Floor.

The coffee is hot and full of exquisite flavor and flair. Coffee never smelled or tasted so fine. Why drink “coffee” when you can experience it at Culture and gear up for your day with premium coffee. The roasted coffee beans are really jumping and there is nothing to compare.

While sipping an espresso, I was chatting it up with the craft supplier who most San Diegans have seen on stage performing or heard on FM radio.

Don’t try and guess. This is your chance to experience Culture like never before.

Luxury caffeinated or decaf is the way to start your day. I left filled with heightened awareness not just a caffeine buzz.

Burger and fries?

The Wooden Spoon highlights local farms and artisans

Appropriately named because of the natural, organic, GMO, and free choice ingredients in each of their gourmet comfort food recipes.

My friend and I were pleasantly greeted on the patio by an informative hostess who answered our questions about the menu and gave us the scoop; the chef was previously at Four Seasons Aviara.

Although the bright clean cozy atmosphere inside looked inviting , the glow of the outdoor heaters on the patio drew us to a table.

We were immediately greeted at our table by a delightful young lady and I asked about the soup. She replied with a light in her smile, butternut squash soup in a mug or a bowl. She referred to it a out hug in a bowl.

Our waiter hoped in with a drink inquiry. We were shown an extensive, impressive beer and wine menu. I opted for the natural ginger beer (alcohol-free) and my friend ordered the root beer (natural).

We both were already sold on a bowl of butternut squash soup. The waiter’s detailed descriptions made my choice the vegetarian plate of brussels sprouts, arugula, and vegan pluses prepared to perfection.

My friend is always intrigued by the burger and fries , only these fries were poutine style (home fries with cheese curds and brown gravy).

We both began eating till not a drop was left in the soup bowl and continued right into our meals with very little chit-chat as we were thoroughly enjoying our flavorful choices .

Our waiter continued to charm and humor us with his great service.

Satisfied and happy about our wonderful dining choice we are looking forward to lunch at the Wooden Spoon next time we are in the area.

Yes, we will be back for more great food made with passion and old-fashioned, yet stylish, goodness.
